High School

I went to Midland High School in Midland, MI. There were about 1700 students in the school, which is rivals with Dow High. I was in Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, and the Symphonic Orchestra. I had the opportunity to take several programming classes (QBASIC, Fortran, Pascal, C++, Visual Basic, Java, and web design). By this time I had also learned Perl, ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Business Professionals of America

Senior year I was on the Web Site Development Team and did C++ Programming. The web team placed first this year at Regionals, States and Nationals (Anaheim, CA). You can see the winning website here. I also got very lucky and got 9th for Networking, which was one of several scantron tests at Nationals open to all participants.

Junior year, I did Web Team and COBOL. Web got 1st in the nation. We've calculated that we spent around 318 hours between the four of us working on the website.

The Web Team got 1st the year before too, so we had reputation to hold up. And my sister helped hold up the legacy after I graduated.
